I am looking for an upgrade from my 62ii. I seem to push them too hard.

What are you driving them with?

How large is your room?

The 8000’s are twice the price of the 82’s locally.

Are you saying on the new or used market?

RFs are not built quite as nice as the RPs and the RPs have a better high end and smoother.

You should listen to both (in your room if possible) to make the determination.  You may actually like the RFs for the price difference, depending on the size of the room and the electronics.

Thanks, happy to be here.

One is $799 cad and the other $1398 new at two different stores. Unfortunately can’t hear them side by side.

the room has lofted ceilings. Sort of open concept with dining room and entry etc. So lots of space to deal with.

using Harmon Kardon 3380 or Yamaha A-S501 depending if I want two subs. I might pick up a used 3490 to get a little more power.

Went with neither. Wanted to try the Klipsch Heritage stuff out so listened to some Cornwalls and then some Heresy II’s. Came home with the Heresy II’s

I don’t know if I am correct but it appears that the soundstage is much improved. I am running the Heresy’s with 2 subs.
