cyto Posted October 25, 2019 Share Posted October 25, 2019 I remember seeing a post from Al K a long time ago where it was recommended to change the 2uf output capacitor in the AA crossover tweeter output to 6uf and disconnect the zener diodes. JohnA Posted October 25, 2019 Share Posted October 25, 2019 Don't do it. It makes the tweeter circuit look and behave more like a 3rd order Butterworth filter. It also removes the eq built in the filter. For home use, if you have K-77-M tweeters and with careful reduction of the volume when switching inputs, you can remove the KLiP diodes. You can see a sag in the filter that corresponds to a peak in a K-77's response. If your speakers are sounding dull and/or laid back, you might need new caps, though. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
