Ramesh
Looking for some help I have set up 2 sub woofers. I am on 5.2.2 with front height speakers. But my onkyo amp RZ 830 doesnt recognise my second sub in 5.2.2 settings. It recognises 6.1.4 or 7.2.4 but not 5.2 2. It only recognises 5.1.2 instead of 5.2.2 May i know why and any of you can help me address this. Really appreciate it
baron167
Looking at the manual, I don't think it actually does have a 5.2.2 mode. Yes, you can connect a second powered sub in each speaker combination listed, but recognizing on Software level? Not mentioned. So don't drive yourself nuts. I'm not an Onkyo guru, so don't shoot me if I'm wrong.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ramesh
Yes you are right Baron. It does not have a 5.2 2 mode. Strange right. When it has all.other combinations. So how do I address this or leave it be. What do I gain or stand to lose with the non recognotion as the two subs are connected and working
baron167
I'd call it "dumb mode". It's not stressing the system sending the additional line voltage to the second sub. Any sound analysis software will obviously hear the second sub. I run 3 systems with multiple subs and they are unaware of anything but subwoofer "yes" or "on". I adjust the level of all my subs manually.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ramesh
I see. Yes. My amp says the same thung subwoofer yes. So in essence i dont lose out on amything if the amp does npt recognise the second sub; but it plays anyway.
