afraid Posted March 31, 2001 Share Posted March 31, 2001 I am currently using Radioshack 16 guage wire to my sb-1s. Mabye about 5 feet each length from receiver to speaker. When i had a full set of sony speakers (215,s 115s) i used radioshack 12 guage speaker wire. Honestly i have a small room so really could not tell the difference. I prefer 16 guage wire because its not too small yet not to big. Very easy to run along wall. The speakers i will buy will be ss.5 and sc.5. I have looked at bettercable and ixos . Can anyone reccomend good wire that isnt to expensive. My rear surround runs will be 50 feet, and 65 feet. That is beacuse i run the wire around the base of floor inside and around the closet then back around the wall. Then i have to go up the corner left and coner right rear to reach my surrounds which will be placed about 7 feet up thre wall. I really dont want to fork over a huge amount of dough. i Have a small room maybe 10 by 10, but beacuse of the way wire is run, i use alot of it. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
