AK878
Hello, I recently purchased two Klipsch Powergate amplifiers. First of all, they pack a punch and sound awesome. The issue I'm having is with Bluetooth connectivity. I'm using one of the amps to power a set of outdoor speakers and a sub. I'm able to connect to the amp easily, but the signal starts to cutout when I'm only 20 to 30 feet away from the amp. I've tested the connection on a few devices but am getting the same result. Has anyone else run into the same issue? Is there a firmware upgrade or any suggestions? Thanks!
jason str
20-30 feet sounds about normal with the few devices i have used, even less with walls between the signal. Klipsch rarely visits the forum, you may receive better information if you contact them directly.
Dustyzz
There are three different class specifications for bluetooth implementations, with the class 2 spec being the most widely implemented for household goods (headphones, speakers, etc.). The Class 2 spec calls for transmitting at 2.5mW and has a maximum range of 10 meters or roughly 33 feet. If you need more range you can look into getting a bluetooth repeater. Terry Palmer
I usually just run my PowerGate streaming via Wifi. I haven’t had an issue with the Bluetooth but as stated I use the WiFi more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
