Zach N
I have to opportunity at grabbing a pair of the KG3's. I'm currently running the KG4's and love them. Im just curious if the KG3's would sound good running with the KG4's. In my head, it sounds like it would be a good match, but I could be totally wrong. Just curious if anyone has actual heard them playing in harmony.
carlthess40
The kg4 has a better sound as it’s a 3 wayI think the kg3 is a 2 way! I forget But I’ve had both and had them many times and always go back to the kg4. I still have a pair and love them over the kg3’s. The 3’s sound is missing something to meAnd they just do t bring out the details as well as the 4’also I think the kg3’s were in the lower line as the kg4’s are a part of the Heritage line Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jason str
Both are 2 way loudspeakers, try them out and see how they sound together. I assume you need them for home theater use ? If for stereo its better to just use one set at a time.
carlthess40
I’m sorry. Your right about them both being two way. I was thinking of another speaker It’s been some time sense I’ve looked at the front of my kg4’s They are just sitting in my bedroom not being used Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wuzzzer
They'll work great as surrounds. If you intend to run them both at the same time in a two channel stereo configuration it's not a good idea. Even running two pairs of the exact same speaker at the same time is not recommended due to comb filtering.
jason str
All the KG series loudspeakers were 2 ways with the exception of the subwoofer.
byson1
I'd giver them a try if the price is OK. I run a pair of KG 5.2's with a pair of KG 1.2's. I'm using an early 90's model Denon 2 channel receiver (DRA-425). At low to medium volumes they sound very good...to my ears. At higher volumes I prefer just the 5.2's. Speaker placement and room size will make a big difference in how they sound together.
