First 3.1 setup

Hi there,

Reading some info on the internet for a while now and went from soundbar idea to a solid 3.1. I also learned that good speakers is better than a highend receiver as they will never evolve as fast as the AV.

Atm I have nothing else than my TV speakers and watching a movie with wife turns a lot into: volume is too high, volume is too low and what did he just said?

So I searched da bit and wanted to aim for klipsch speakers as they sound and look nice. I managed to convice my wife for bookshelf speakers, but tower speakers is a no-go.

My setup would be: 2 r51m One r34c And one r120sw

We are sitting about 3m from tv in a 40sqmeters room ( rectangular room with dining table behind couch and only front and right wall). We aim to use it for movies and music (mostly old classic rock and electronic)

Questions are the following:

1)The center speaker has 4 speakers. Some klipsch models have only 2 and are a bit higher. Are 4 speakers too much or it is worth it? I'm hesitating with the r52c

2)RP serie is about twice the price of reference, is it worth it or reference is enough as starter kit? I'm not a real audiofile
3)I am a bit lost in matter of choosing an AV receiver. Just looking for one that does great with the setup (don't want a crappy sound with nice speakers because of a cheap reciever) mostly mid range. If could have bluetooth and DAB+ for radio it would be nice.

The Reference setup is already around 1000$ without av in my country.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day everyone.

Cya.
