Wolfbane
I still use my CDP and Blue Ray Players, also my Sony Minidisc Players. Seems I'm not alone: https://www.vox.com/the-highlight/2019/11/22/20972630/retro-tech-gadgets-walkman-dvds Wb
Ceptorman
I'm old school also, no streaming service, no iTunes. I have to have the actual CD, no downloads. I even just updated my 16 year old Sony CD player to a 9 year old Oppo BDP 😀 1

It's still here somewhere new in the box,I do have a CD player but mostly I spin vinyl. I do have my PC piped into the system so I can listen to youtube, not a total caveman I guess. WillyBob
My "system" is vintage. LS from '76. An H/K630. I use a Sony DVD/CD player. Wish I still had that Pioneer 6 disc player. I do stream. Not too fond of the quality. Better than nothin'.

YK Thom
" The desire for ownership and control over content is often a driving factor for those who hang onto their music players" Exactly. I prefer to have my own rather than rent digital music.
