I'm old school also, no streaming service, no iTunes. I have to have the actual CD, no downloads. I even just updated my 16 year old Sony CD player to a 9 year old Oppo BDP 😀

I guess I'm really old school, got a blueray thingy for Christmas years ago and don't even know how to hook it up. lmao!

It's still here somewhere new in the box,I do have a CD player but mostly I spin vinyl.

I do have my PC piped into the system so I can listen to youtube, not a total caveman I guess.

My "system" is vintage. LS from '76. An H/K630. I use a Sony DVD/CD player. Wish I still had that Pioneer 6 disc player.

I do stream. Not too fond of the quality. Better than nothin'.

I've got a Victrola......

And a few crates of 78's

I have an old body that remembers all that stuff.

" The desire for ownership and control over content is often a driving factor for those who hang onto their music players"

Exactly. I prefer to have my own rather than rent digital music.
