danny d
I have two Klipsch Shorthorn systems, circa 1955. What are the crossover properties I need to reproduce in a replacement or rebuild?
hanksjim1
Depends on the drivers you have in them/intend to use... & please post pics (this forum loves pics)! As a starting point here's a later 1957 Klipsch upgrade document that shows the K-1000/6/5000 network that likely came with them originally and the needed update if you switch the University 4401 tweeter to the Electro Voice T-35 (16 ohm version) upgrade. Also attached is a pic of an original crossover network and a new one built from scratch. I am sure other, more knowledgeable members will chime in. Also, I suggest you edit your topic title to reflect the Shorthorn, as they are different than the khorn or cornwall networks (and so others can search by keyword in title) . Please keep us posted on your project!
