johknow4@gmail.com
Lloyd McClellan built my K-horn (No. 174). His initials are throughout. Is there a way to determine who built my K5D Horn? It is numbered 169 and is dated November 8th 1948. Thanks, Johnie
JohnA
You know, you might have the oldest Klipschorn out in the wild!
johknow4@gmail.com
You think so? I had been looking to purchase a vintage Klipschorn. This is the oldest I have come across.
kuisis
I have two older Khorns, not as old as yours, but from the 50's. Even then it looks like it was a pretty small shop and Lloyd M built, or at least had a large hand, with mine as well. If possible could you post more pictures? JRH
It was Lloyd. His initials are on the first picture in this thread, where "FINISH" was crossed out.
kuisis
My 54 has the 1/2 inch wood, the 56 the 3/4 inch. I will try to find the thread with the pictures of them.

johknow4@gmail.com
I am fascinated by early Klipschorns and their individual back stories. Where is the best place for pics and info? I would love to see pics from forum members.
