HiFi Heaven
Crossing UP? DOWN? BOTH? Into LF/HF drivers you have?
Frank merchant
I would like the midbass to be able to operate in the frequency range of 50 to 3000
HiFi Heaven
Neither ALTEC or EV 12" PA/Guitar speakers will have useful output below 80 Hz. Sealed cabs could be as small as 1.25 ft3 for nice tight overdamped mid bass. Plan on Klipsch SUB-12 or modern equivalent for bass, crossover at 50 Hz +/-. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/365611/Altec-Lansing-3127-Lf-Speaker.html?page=2#manual

HiFi Heaven
What are you planning for HF? You might go active Xover, instead of buying boxes of caps & coils & resistors to roll your own. Cheaper in the long run, less frustration, instant grarification! I've had good luck w/cheap Behringer Xovers & EQ's: https://www.amazon.com/Behringer-Effect-Processor-CX2310-V2/dp/B07J37C68Z?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duckduckgo-ffab-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B07J37C68Z
