captjoe
Anyone have any experience with the Cary SLP-98L.Looking at pairing with Will Vincent ST-70.
kevinmi
I have one. It's actually a SLP=98P F1, which is the phono version, and the FI is the upgraded version. Best pre I've ever owned.
captjoe
I am looking at one which does not have the Phono. Its a 500.00 upgrade. The seller wants 1600.00 which I think is a little steep. Might try to get him down some and upgarde the Caps and resistors and have phono stage installed. Also what makes your different than the standard SPL-98P

I believe the bypass caps are removed, and better RCA plugs are used also. Check out Upscale Audio's website, I think they have a description of the mods. I think the price is fair, but if you are going to play vinyl, I would buy a P version instead of having one installed.
