Matrixx9 Posted December 23, 2019 Share Posted December 23, 2019 I'm about to upgrade to a Yamaha RX A3080. I'm also going to add an Emotiva XPA 7 gen 3 amp. Here is where I'm confused so please be gentle! The avr has only 2 balanced inputs and 2 outputs. The amp has 7...the 2 on the avr are shown as front. See I'm lost, do the other 5 channels not need or require balanced? Reading forums balanced is best for long runs??? My amp will be next to my avr? What, a foot maybe??? Is balanced necessary?? I finally understand what it does. I just dont know if my application requires it! Thanks ahead of time. You guys continually amaze me.
