Soundbar Turns Itself On
My Klispch soundbar suddenly has started picking up other TV channels- coming on at maximum volume even when the TV and the soundbar are off. I live in an apartment on the top floor (22nd). How do I stop this from happening?
Hasty
If you're using HDMI-ARC it's possible the issue is with you TV. Certainly the soundbar isn't going to pick up a signal that isn't being sent from the source, so I wouldn't be so sure it's an issue with the soundbar. I'd probably test it with another source and see if you have the same issue. Also, if you look on the Klipsch website, you can often download firmware updates to a thumb drive and then load it into the soundbar. You didn't mention a model number, but I'd start there.

FMnoise
A model number is really needed to provide better suggestions for your device. Many sound bars have Bluetooth plus a wireless network connection so it is possible that you may be picking up a signal(s) from someone else using similar frequencies on their devices. Insuring that your soundbar has the latest firmware installed, as noted by others, should certainly be checked too (firmware for Klipsch sound bars is on their support page). glens
I don't think bluetooth, properly implemented, has a problem with mixing source signals. Same with wifi.
FMnoise
"glens", I made no mention or suggestion of "mixing" signals in my comment. The new poster stated the SB turned itself 'ON', without their input. This could indeed be caused by another wireless signal waking it up, though the TV itself (or what is connected to it) is more likely to blame. Not enough info to provide any more constructive suggestions unless more information is provided.
glens
Guess I didn't include the thread title as the first sentence of the first post. My bad. "Picking up other channels" in my mind meant simultaneously.
