Those tweeters appear to be EV ST-350 (A or B )  As per my memory (and some of the literature I've seen and I suppose, have)

The correct orientation for those drivers is with the bulge top/bottom verses side to side.  I want to say their dispersion is 90x90 so it might not really matter......then again, I don't know that I remember that correctly.

I have no clue about the midrange horn/driver but in my book, the tweeter is correct as is.

The Interface D and the Sentry 3 are the first 2 that I thought of when I seen the tweeters.

They are proud of the 4x the power handling, I'm not impressed. I want to know about the output quality and quantity. Bose 901 can handle a lot of power, so what? 😀

Amar Bose was a professor at MIT, maybe he taught the 4 grads that developed this K Killer.

It is all starting to make sense.

I was always under the impression that the ST350 A/B used the same motor as the T-35/K77, with a different lens attached to it.

"IF" that is correct, wouldn't they have similar power handling  (if we presume same crossover point)  ???

I may certainly be wrong about them having the same motor.  Maybe it's just the same diaphragm.

I don't know....  I'm going to go eat some almonds.

It was T-35 (K77), T350, and ST-350. The former looks like a Bigger K77, and the latter looks more like a JBL "baby butt cheek" tweeter, with much better polars.

Perhaps it's a subversive Russian plot......quick everyone, vote for Hillary....

This says it all.....  " a super efficient rating at 104 watts sound pressure level at one meter "

There is comfort and frustration when you immediately know a salesman or a seller understands way less about a product than yourself, and you haven't even opened your mouth to learn this.

What blows my mind is the guy clearly knows something (lists parts, compares to specific models, etc) - but then makes these highly dubious claims.  Why would an audio enthusiast try to scam another audio enthusiast based on poor information to on?  Seems like a very odd choice.  This isn’t a straight scam, it’s just a bizarre set of exaggerations...

It is a scam. Anybody with a clear understanding of the LS speakers would know there is no way his frankensteins can equal the sensitivity and very low distortion @ high output levels of the LS. Just isn't gonna happen with a BR cab and a direct radiating LF transducer.

Or equal khorns.

He is preying on the uninformed, and there are a LOT of them out there. No crime against what he's doing, its called puffing in sales. And he may just actually believe his BS.

I will take gentle disagreements with the other posts here, as Mr. @Chiliarches opinion most closely matches mine.

I'm looking at those speakers as a DIY project trying to gain some selling traction off the reflected glory by comparing them to Khorns.  Nobody knows what those things sound like so you have to sell the sizzle, not the steak.

Most of us DIY'ers know that if we have $500 in parts then when trying to re-sell them they are worth AT MOST the cost of the drivers.  The Seller is trying recoup his money for drivers and time.  That's really hard to do for a $1500 one-off DIY project.
