Should I buy a Heresy KP 250 or a Heresy E

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I apologize for my newbie question but I would like to join the "copper and black side", nevertheless I've a dilemma: have the chance to buy ider era Heresy KP250 (1994) or a Heresy E (60-70s), both cost the same...

Being a newbie and wanting to try the Heresy sound, I have no idea which should I choose.

I would appreciate some suggestions

P.S. the Heresy E still has the woofer with the red surrounds

Thank you

Welcome to the forum!  I would choose the KP250's, I've had both and prefer the woofers used in the 250's, but they are all really good speakers.  I run a subs with them.  Are you planning on running one?  They don't really dig down that low.

You are pretty rock solid down to about 70 or 80 on most of the Heresy variants.  I'm not familiar with the KEF or the specs.  What does the bass unit give you for low end frequency response?

"E" just means export.  Likely sold overseas in a PX.

I would get the Heresy Es.  Their bass response should go deeper and be better balanced for indoor use.

Agree with JohnA.

Buy both and keep or sell the ones you don't like.
