thebes
Beatles 6 is actually, according to Wiki, their seventh album. This mono sealed pressing is over $775 with two days to go. So do you think it's too late for me to put a bid in? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Beatles-Beatles-VI-LP-Capitol-Mono-SEALED/202880368023?hash=item2f3c9cbd97:g:XQwAAOSwJeVeIiVr

oldtimer
If you want to bid on sealed cut-outs, then I suggest this as a much better BPD (buzz per dollar): https://www.ebay.com/itm/SEALED-1978-Funkadelic-One-Nation-Under-A-Groove-LP-Warner-Bros-Record-BSK-3209/193236575786?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D167c9d782e16456ab9f6fa1285261fcc%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dpf%26sd%3D383376945372%26itm%3D193236575786%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

(but not at that price) Collectors get a little crazy at times, and one presumes they will hold it to appreciate further rather then play it. Which considering it's the Beatles, that's a decidedly good idea. Why hurt your ears if you don't have to.
Dave1290
Crazy price but...
tigerwoodKhorns
So what do you do after spending $1K on this sealed record? Open it to make sure that it has the correct record?
Schu
US pressing, so it's probably not even close to the first generation pressing. only way to tell what pressing generation it is is by opening it and having a look.
billybob
If it is verified, it will cost 2k... If opened and a different record is inside(rare) it could be worth even more so, price is right...a win/win IAC... Good Show...
oldtimer
I think it was produced for the north American market so it would be a US pressing. Not that I care about early boy band history.
oldtimer
Sooner, rather than too much later, there won't be any more boomers to pay such an insane price. The P-Funk lp, on the other hand, is fairly priced considering its importance (top 200 lps of all time, first place in the genre, and one of the 1001 lps we must hear before we die) and inflation from 1978, and it's Thebes approved. Considering inflation, it is only triple original retail (roughly). The fact that it will have all of the extra goodies Parliament was known to provide is worth a lot, because in the used market those are mostly long gone. Well the Beatles album went for a couple of bucks under a grand. Given the big bucks some spend on every aspect of this hobby (cables come to mind), it's not an awful amount of dough. Still a bit silly since it"s decidedly some of their most mediocre work.
oldtimer
I would welcome the P-Funk as a birthday present.
