Brenda
I want to experience a tube amp for my Cornwall IV’s. I do not know anything about these things. My budget is based on what I find on Amazon. Suggestions are appreciated!

jimjimbo
First of all, I wouldn't go by what you see on Amazon. Probably a bad place to reference. A budget, type of music you prefer, your sources (vinyl, CD, streaming, etc). Would be helpful.
Brenda
CD, Streaming as of now. Want to add vinyl soon. I also miss having a equalizer to play with. I like a wide variety of music. Classic rock, Progressive rock, jazz, big band, I have a Reisong Boyuu A50 MKIi 300B ordered from China hifi audio but I may never see it. I can’t figure out how to get my pictures headed in the right do! 🤔🤪

tube fanatic
7 hours ago, Brenda said: Power amp. The amp you ordered is an integrated type (built in preamp section). Do you also have a preamp that you plan to use with a power amp? When you get into vinyl you will likely need an external phono preamp. Brenda
I do believe that I may never see this amp as its from China. I have decided that I will just wait and throughly enjoy my Cornwall’s as they are. For the time being.

Klipsch Heritage speakers and tubes are 👍 Here is an interesting integrated amp with tone controls and a phono preamp. http://www.erhard-audio.com/Basie.html It's more than you want to spend at the moment but may be a much better option in the long run and has enough power to make your Cornwalls get up and dance. I have been using his Aretha preamp for a year and it's quite good. I stream Tidal and the treble control really tames poorly recorded CD's.
billybob
Phono preamp built in or an external standalone...no way to stop your wanting to spin records as if one wanted to... enjoy!
