J M O N
Does anyone have a recommendation on replacement projector lamps -- specific sources, OEM versus aftermarket, etc? I have a JVC projector that I got four years ago and it is possible that there is something wrong other than the lamp. The status indicator lights are doing something that is not covered in the manual and the few internet searches I found with similar results may indicate something other than the lamp. I may have to take it to the place I got it but regardless I'll probably need a replacement lamp before too long anyway.

japosey
I just purchased my last one off of Ebay. I suggest purchasing the Phillips OEM bulb. A bulb with housing assembly will cost you around $120. As far as the indicator lights, I recommend removing the air filter from the unit and cleaning it. A dirty air filter will cause the temp to increase and not let the bulb turn on and trip your indicator lights.
efzauner
I purchased a replacement with an "original philips bulb" on Walmart online for my Sony VLP did the trick, so far so good!
J M O N
Thanks for all the replies. Looks like it's not the bulb. I had to send the projector in for repairs. I tried doing a projector "reset" per JVC tech support and also tried cleaning the air filter but unfortunately neither worked (the filter was actually very clean).
