Folded horns at the thrift store?

Recommended Posts

Guys, I picked up this pair of Traynor Trijectors (circa '85) with folded horn woofer at the thrift store for a whopping $20.00. The are made from 3/4" birch plywood and sound amazing. I think it was a pretty good score. 😄 What do you think?

Mount the bullet tweets on top of each other. Other than that they look nice.

Would be hard pressed to pass those up for $20 myself.  What does the bass bin look like closer up?  What's the shape of the horn?

I think this is a larger version of the same horn.

I love this place.  He buys thrift shop speakers and IMMEDIATELY gets advice on modding.  LOL.

$20, Great deal

That would be nice on that back porch you have, and in the garage in between.

Very true! I'm torn though. If I upgrade, they aren't $20 speakers anymore LOL!

Actually did set them up for a listen out back and we had a lot of fun with them. Played everything from ZZ Top to Danish Orchestra. :)

I wouldn't touch them unless you blow out a tweeter, but that's just me, I'm not a modder.

Have fun with them, there is something nice about a $20 set of speakers,  nothing to worry about if they get a scratch, or bump when moving or someone spills a drink on them.
