On business?  I'm close.  Would have loved a visit.

I thought of that, was on a pretty tight schedule. I wish I had another week in Texas, I would've stopped by for sure. I stayed with a buddy around North Montgomery, he's on a lake, and a golf course (he doesn't golf) He's getting ready to start a barn/home project and wanted some advice.

I was in San Antonio for my daughter's wedding. It was a great time, very friendly people. I could retire there (but I would still need a change of weather....snow.. once a year or two)

He was an hour and a half away.  Yes, that's Texas close.  Practically next doors.

Are you south of Houston?

I did have a nice drive from northwest Houston to New Braunfels, hwy 105, went right through Roundtop, where Mark Bowe from Barnwood Builders has a Boneyard now.

I do like your highway speed limits!
