First you take a bottle of this Southern Tier (Binghampton, NY), sauce and then marinate whatever you want, in this case chicken thighs, for 24 hours.  I then baked in oven and then finished off on the grill:

@thebes you caused me to glance at the asparagus when I went to the store. It was $1.50 off a lb today! Lamb looks good too.

Going to drizzle it with evoo then broil with sea salt and grated parm. Not sure if I'll have any meat with it at all got yellow squash & onions to cook then some pears I'll slice and alternate pear & sharp cheddar slices in a bowl so the flavor mixes. And some frozen Mrs B's yeast rolls that are great.

I'll be eating this for two days. It'll be a heathy B-day dinner!

Yeah! Happy Birthday! Now would go ruining it by acting responsibly.  Come'on , a little surf and turf on the side.  You deserve it. Your heart deserves it. Your stomach deserves it!

Me, this is typical side salad.  Lettuce, cukes, sweet pepper, Campari tomats, fresh Basil grown by me, and a imported Pomegranate vinegar, topped with croutons. The fatso main course is lurking off camera.

Del Taco used to make the absolute best pork carnitas burritos back in the day. I worked with a lot of Hispanics for a few years and ate their homemade food a lot. Then we went on strike for a couple weeks and I brought us all burritos from DT. They gave enthusiastic thumbs up and would not believe where they came from until I took them there. I don't know if the place was franchised and the owners had the best recipe or if it was store-wide but they were good. Yummy memories.
