If only I had known. You could have brought down the recently sold birch LS, we could have eaten BBQ non-stop for two or three days here in KC. Some good, most very good and a few over the top good. I would have bought all the Q, you leave the LS and drive home fat, sassy and satisfied. A win-win I reckon —
JohnJ
I do like the fries at five guys! covid killed my Eastern NC BBQ place I've been going to since I was four or five. We had a Jim & Nicks that was real good for a while down at the river. Manager change... went twice after that and no more, maybe I'll try again it's been years. BigStewMan
my favorite meal -- kale soup. Although my family altered the recipe quite a bit ... we used collard greens instead of kale and NO potatoes. The broth was also red beans that had been pureed in a blender. a few splashes of worcestershire sauce and some sourdough bread and I'm all set. oh yeah, Linguica NOT chorizo. BigStewMan
Hey @sunburnwilly -- I think you work at a restaurant. Are you still employed during this pandemic? I hope so. Some the food items that you post look really tasty. Peace Dude.
sunburnwilly
Yep , have been back at work since we were allowed to May 14th ; SC don't cha' know . Restaurant is at 50% ; gov Foghorn Leghorn says we can go to 100% . No way to have any social distancing at 100% so we have stayed at 50% . We did close our sister restaurant Blossom next door this past Sunday after 27 years of service . I'm doing okay thanks but not going to go out and buy a new car or whatever anytime soon .
BigStewMan
@sunburnwilly Hang in there ... I'm hoping with the vaccines on the horizon that we're at the beginning of the end of this. Never been to SC; but by your photos, you folks know how to eat!

JohnJ
Nice spread, very appetizing. Looks like a new menu rollout taste session for the kitchen. That reading material? Only with a gun held to my head could I read that. But that pizza in a blanket or stuffed crust pan pizza I could try. It's similar to pigs in a blanket, pot pies and all that! Beets are OFFENSIVE! Ban beets and stewed okra with tomatos! Ketchup can't fix `em!
oldtimer
Making a Belgian style beef stew. Dark rich broth, no Turbo Dog, but a nice Chilean red involved.

JohnJ
@baron167 Looks Good! Is that paprika on the chicken or is it chili or cayenne?
