Hey there guys I am trying to track down a decent CD player for my little 2 channel system upstairs. I have 2 Klipsch RB81II'S sitting on some Pangea Audio LS300 speaker stands. I am running them off of my old Pioneer Elite SC05. I had a PS3 that I was using to play the CDs but it bit the dust. So just curious if anyone has any recommendations on a cheap but good stand alone CD player. It would be cool if it had wireless or bluetooth that way I could also hook up to pandora or something similar. I would I be just as well off buying a cheap wireless blu ray player and call it good. Would there be a big difference in sound quality? Thanks as always for your help

Maybe one of these to handle that part.

I have a Chromecast Audio which works great for those needs but unfortunately Google discontinued them a couple of years ago.  They are still for sale on some sites but at an elevated price from MSRP.

or this, it matches visually

Thanks Bill for the help. By cheap I would say no more than $200 on the very high end.

Not sure but guess recording and format will play a role.

I apologize they were not ripped from the internet but I made copies of the cds I had via the computer. What's your thoughts on that Parasohnd I mentioned?

Are you open to multidisc players on the cheap?  I have owned a few from different brands, Adcom, Onkyo/Integra, Denon, Sony, and they sounded pretty darn good for the minimal prices($0.00 to maybe $40.00) that I paid on the local used market.

Really, for what you want, an $89 "smart" blu-ray player from Wally World ought to get the job done.  Personally, I'd spend the time to rip everything to flac, copiously tag the files, and spend the money on something that'll grab the songs over wifi.  Either something to feed your amplification or a newer amp with a DAC and a receiver.

Yeah I am open to them for sure if they will sound pretty good. Ok so stupid question for you. Is it the Dac in my amp or the Dac in the cd player that is making it sound better? So if my SC05 has a good Dac is the Cad player as big of a deal?

A good deal on a very nice sounding player.  I owned two of these.

Below is an excellent sounding multidisc player.  Best sounding I have ever owned.

It really depends.  You could have the same Dac chip in both your AVR and CD player and one could sound better than the other.  Quality of parts and implementation can play a significant role in sound quality.

I think I found a Marantz CD6006 locally for a good price. Think I will snag it up?

See if seller will take $200.00.

Jump on it! Use precautions...

FYI, A4Less has them with a 3 year warranty for $349.00.  I know more than you want to pay but thought I would point it out.
