NY probably needs to be NYC.

Here is one source:

Bunch of other stuff out there.

Of course, these would be preliminary.  We have to wait and see what games are played with the numbers and reassessment.

Bottom line is since the beginning it was known the elderly were most at risk and obviously the world had a brain fade.

Even if a few points off, that is some hellacious numbers.

That’s a myopic view. Don’t forget China, Spain, and Italy. And now India, Brazil, etc.

Inadequate response, no testing, no herd immunity, no vaccine - are body count multipliers.

We just keep going in circles with this.

Sweden tried the intentional ‘herd immunity’ approach and suffered greatly. The gov’t figured they could avoid the lockdowns by relying on their well educated and sophisticated populace to practice infection control. They wanted to skip the economic crunch and slowly establish herd immunity as covid19 was allowed to run through the country. Well they still suffered from the economic crunch and the country got nailed by covid19 more so than America (relative to total population).

What we now see coursing through the world is what everyone feared. Densely populated 3rd world countries with covid19 running amok. As with Ebola we need treatments and vaccines ASAP. Still it appears too late. Plan for the worst and hope/pray for anything better.

The only truly myopic response belongs solely to China and the WHO. China is only place where quick responses and accurate advisements would have made a huge difference. They understand these type of diseases having dealt with them in the past (SARS). The way covid19 bloomed and it’s health impact should’ve sounded the klaxons big time....... and China muffled them........ and the WHO turned a blind eye and deaf ears to any other input save that from China. Since then the rest of the world has been dealing with a contagion forest fire in dense and dry forests and unpredictable winds coming from all directions. Put 1 fire out and 5 more start. That’s not tunnel vision...... that’s more like panic mode.

they downplayed it , like if it was nothing that could affect them , and the population in BRAZIL in the Favelas is extremely dense and very poor in resources and hygiene  -it's a time bomb -we need to help them --------asap or it will rebound back to all the American Continent -
