Help on Posting Photos

I had a forum member send me a PM about having trouble posting photos, I know many on here have posted similar questions over the years:

"Why can I not post photos that are smaller than 2MB? Literally will not allow me to post of any size now. Is there a daily post limit? How long do I have to wait? Is there a workaround?"

Is there a maximum upload space per person? If.so, do you know what it is?

I remember some folks posting they had to delete some stuff before they could add new things.

I think @wvu80 posted a handy free program that let's you resize photos.

Does anyone know the answer to the size limit questions?

Travis

I believe that 2MB is the maximum per image and the total storage for forum members is 200MB.

If you click on your profile in the upper right hand corner and then click My Attachments, you can see how much storage you have left. It also shows all your photos so that you can choose which ones you might delete to gain additional storage.

I believe mods have no limit.

Did you ever get this sorted out?

Yes; old postings and pics remain on file ... when you reach your limit (2MB?) it will not allow you to upload any more ... have to delete old content :D

The Fastone is fast, free and easy.  I resize 50% but the final size is smaller than the original 2 mb.  A final size of 400 pixels is about the right size for this forum.
