pioneerhip
Anyone have one they are looking to let go?
absolve2525
Great receiver, good luck with your search! I had one briefly, but already had a bunch of nice vintage receivers and sold it for a flip. Nice warm sound and lots of punch.
Woofers and Tweeters
Unless you're locked into Pioneer only, there are a few others you might like as well or better. What is it you're going after, Ex: classic looks, quality of sound or just need the SX1010, etc..?
pioneerhip
I had an sx1010 before and it wasn't a great match with my La Scalas. Now I'm running Cornscalas and want more slam at times. I love the looks of the SC1010 but if be open to other units. What do you suggest? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
jimjimbo
SX 950, 1050, 1250
pioneerhip
SX 950, 1050, 1250I had a SX850. It wasn't recapped and that might be the reason for being underwhelmed. I've considered a 1050 or 1250 but they can get pricey! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

You liked the SX1010.. the SX939 is pretty much the same with a few less watts. Whatever you buy will either have been recapped or will need to be meaning that it will need a lot more money rubbed on it. I really like my Sansui G-8000 receiver. If you look into it, you'll see that the 8000 is ABed to the Pioneer SX1050 and such. I also like a lot of what Marantz offered in those days. The Sansui G-801 is the same as the G-8000... a huge, super heavy and great sounding receiver.
