babadono Posted May 6, 2020 Share Posted May 6, 2020 As a quick test of the sub itself: turn the switch on the back to 'on' not 'auto/standby'. turn the gain all the way down. disconnect the "black lab" cable from your receiver. Rub your finger between the center conductor and the shield contact at the end of the cable you just disconnected. Turn up the gain as you do this. The input to the sub should be able to pick up a little 60 Hz hum just from your body to make at least some sound. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
