I was sitting at my desk listening to Simon & Garfunkel 'Old Friends' cd via the Pro-Media 2.1's.

I like their stuff and it's a nice show....  then, I broke out of my concentration of what I was doing as I realized Bridge over Troubled Water was about 1/3 into the song and I didn't realize it.

Started over.... and turned it up a couple more notches.  I especially like the opening piano and the kick-drum as it starts  (starts???   my hiney, it's not until two and a half minutes into it!!!)

Bold as Love by Jimi Hendrix is an interesting little diddy @  about 100dB very occasionally. :)

I glad some got around to Hendrix

Voodoo Chile  ........  the long blues version

"Turn that thing down!"

Band of Gypsys is a fine selection

How about Humble Pie Rocking the Fillmore  I Don't Need No Doctor?

So many, but a couple that came to mind immediately:
Led Zeppelin-- Good Times, Bad Times
Talking Heads--Burning Down the House, live version

Not just a little loud, but very loud as long as there isn't anyone to bother in the house.
Actually, the entire first side of Zep IX (the newest remaster) sounds awesome with a little wattage... might have to listen to that in fact!

RUSH too:

* That one is different for even the early RUSH. I realized last night listening to it alone wasn't the same as within the context of the great "Fly By Night" album. Making Memories preceding it and In The End after make side 2 mesh.
