Tips for moving speakers

Hi folks,

I'm moving about 4 hours drive away and was wondering if there were any guidelines to follow to protect my Cornwalls from any damage. When I bought them I didn't have any time to strategize (would have sold quickly) and just threw them in the backseat/trunk of my Toyota as best I could with some towels for protection. This time around I was planning on taking the grills off and placing the speakers upright in the corner of the truck and covering them with heavy moving blankets. Any thoughts appreciated.

If you're going to put them in the back of a pickup truck, after wrapping them in blankets or moving pads as has been already suggested, tie them together with a piece of rope. The larger footprint will help prevent them from tipping over.

Around 90 percent of damage is done to speakers when moving them.

you are again 100% correct , I over protect my speakers during moving  against any kind of bump or drop  , and of course the most important , never move heavy speakers by yourself or with a helper you can't trust 100% -

first thick spongy plastic sheeting  , wrap around- tape - then thick bubble wrap  and tape ,  then cardboard - that layer will take any kind of bump  --moving Blanckets- and cardboard in the vehicle --
