I like a lot of stuff on a baked potato ... butter, cheese, A1 Sauce, and my beloved Ketchup. On the table, I NEVER add salt to anything. I don't butter bread either. The only things that I like salted are French fries and potato chips. Ketchup and black pepper are my poisons.

Sometimes I'll add onions, garlic and peas. Pancetta , pork belly , or salt pork.. E.V.O.O. Flat parsley aka Italian parsley.. 3 egg yokes and one egg fresh ground black pepper fino chopped red onion or shallots and granda padana a lot cheaper than Parma reggiano.. But if you have it use it..I And cream is for losers ! And the same goes for cream in risotto..

Add 2 Table spoons minced Garlic, 1 Teaspoon red pepper flakes, 1/2 teaspoon of Black pepper. Boil out the wine, add 1 can of Cento San Marzano peeled tomatoes. (crush or lightly puree the tomatoes) allow to simmer. Put 1 pound of pasts (spaghetti noodles) Into boiling water (heavily salted, 8 cups) get the noodles just short of aldente (17 minutes on my stove) add 2 cups of the water to the sauce, add the strained pasta to the sauce, simmer till only a small amount of liquid remains stir often. when the pasta is done add the bacon bits back in. use Parm cheese to taste and enjoy Joe - you gotta be from Italy , I'm savouring it as we speak -

Haven't seen that in years... but that sounds good with black mission figs... just cut the figs in a cross cut.. Without going all the way through. stuff the figs with gorgonzola and wrap with guanciale or prosciutto.. Warm in oven serve with A reduced balsamic glaze... Just drizzle it over the figs.. And pick your favorite vino...
