I’m just curious about using what would essentially be three center speakers for my home theater.  I was thinking about going with the main three channels (left, center, right) as the same center speaker (3 total speakers) to utilize my space better. I haven’t found any info one way or another what do you guys think?

Thanks for the replies, my orientations of the speakers would be at the same height with the center under the tv and the left and right channels six feet out on each side I just haven’t seen much on other use of center speakers outside of just the center channel I would think two additional center channel speakers for the l/r front channels should work well, thoughts?

I’ve read that horizontally oriented center speaker design are challenged with on-axis of the woofers.  I found this article that get into it better than I could.  Worth a read before you commit.
