For example, an “F” is definitely 1968 for a Klipschorn. See this post:
Srinath
And they're the C style, same as mine. The best part - the tops and sides etc come off easy and can be moved with ease.

The best part - the tops and sides etc come off easy and can be moved with ease. This is also wrong. They are NOT C style. C does not mean "collar". KB prefix on the SN photo provided means "B" type which is collared, as they clearly are in the other photos. PLEASE see this post: KB = Klipschorn - Model Type B, "collared" KC = Klipschorn - Model Type C, no "collar" KD = Klipschorn - designer type
JRH
Thanks codewritinfool, on both counts! FWIW, David Johnson was the first black employee in the factory. "Inspected" means the final assembly builder. Great guy!
Srinath
Aaah OK I guess mine is also a B - Mine says KB-OL I think.
LarryC
I believe OL is Oak Lacquer, and that's a beautiful, rather prominent veneer. Note the extensive book matching in the B-style; each front panel is composed of mirror-image halves for symmetry, and the front panels are mirror-imaged with each other. Also true of the tops, and to some extent the side panels of the top sections. -- Larry
Srinath
I think mine is Inspected by Charlie Alexander or Oleander, and Tested by Terry Greene ?? I keep getting -200 when trying to put pics up.
LarryC
While "OL" was mentioned by Srinath above, the Khorns in the pics above are plainly walnut. This is confirmed by the "WO" on the tags -- Walnut Oil. Sorry to have contributed to any confusion. -- Larry
