pioneerhip
I've had these Cornscalas for about a year and have been too intimidated to try staining them. Being stuck at home a lot I decided to go for it. There is a youtube video that I watched that showed baltic birch being stained with gel stain and then a toner added to it. These have plenty of imperfections, but are leaps better than they were before. I wish hadn't waited so long.

MookieStl
Those did turn out nice. Raw birch can sometimes get splotchy. yours look good. Did you treat the wood first. Someone recommended that to me a while back and the results are much more consistent.
pioneerhip
I didn't treat it first. The video I watched shows him using that conditioner. Here is the video:

I have not used the Gel Stain > Toner method. Looks to be a good system. Well done. Great video

MechEngVic
They look great! I wonder how they'd look with the motorboard stained instead of black...
