philk81
I have a Marantz 5012. I just got the 8060FAs and with the Atmos speakers, now have all 7 channels running off of the Marantz. I assume the 8060s are underpowered. I think I'd prefer to buy a 3 channel amp (will use with my RC-62 center - plan to upgrade to a RP center later). I'd like to spend less than $1k. Any suggestions. My other option is to buy a bigger receiver, but even then I doubt I'll be at 150w/channel. Thanks!
wuzzzer
You're on the right track as far as getting an external amp versus a larger receiver. Brands like Emotiva, Marantz, Monolith and Parasound are choices to consider.
