iPad as part of my system

I'd like to buy the cheapest iPad possible for primary use as an interface with my Bluesound Node 2i.  Is there any difference in models that I need to consider, or does even the least expensive iPad work as I intend it?  Thanks in advance.  I know I could buy something besides Apple, but I must like spending more than I need to for things-or why else would I be into HiFi?  Thanks!

I can’t speak for I Pad, but I have a fairly extensive library on my I Phone. Thoroughly satisfied. I don’t know what a Bluesound Node2i is.

I use an older gen iPad to control my Lumin app. But when I hade a node 2i I used an 8” Samsung Tab A which worked great. I only bought the iPad because it works better with Lumin. But you can pick up a brand new Tab A for less than a used iPad, so that’s my recommendation.

I would go for a recent iPad, with recent OS and security features.

Amazon's Kinde Fire tablets are cool too, I bought a dirt cheap Fire 7 tablet several years ago. It still runs Spotify fine.
