who'd want to live to be 100 these days?  You'd have to be a cockeyed optimist to think that things are going to get better. 

funny, a few hours ago, I was remembering a doctor telling me that I wouldn't live to see age 40.  He was wrong -- I think.

so, what do you think 10 months later?  I'm sure that the Spanish Flu would have been far less severe had the same hygienic principles that we use today were used then. Not a medical historian, so I have no idea when masks came into use in the medical setting.  So, it would be interesting to compare the two pandemics using the same parameters ... either hand washing, isolating and mask wearing for both or not using them for both. 

All I know is that it seems like viruses get smarter a lot faster than people do.

I’m a Chief Medical Officer and one in charge of our institutions COVID 19 response. We have focused on the safety and health of our patients and staff. This environment has been beyond frustrating to do everything you can to keep everyone safe! There is going to be an end to this but it is up to what every one of us does to keep ourselves and each other safe.
