Title say it all: will the Heresy (KP 250-II) benefit from lining the cabinet with sound absorption material?

I have three Klipsch KP-250-II that I previously lent to my brother for HT use. He is dismantling his system and just returned the speakers.

As I peeking inside the cabinets through the ports, I noticed there was no sound absorption material on the walls. Do you all think lining the walls with some material would help with anything?

I would think it would at least help mute some of the sound ways from the back side of the woofer, which currently escape through the port without attenuation?

Thoughts?
