Third party replacement amplifier for Promedia 2.1 Subwoofer?

Welcome.

 

Spending money on 3rd party amps, which might work, would be my last choice.  Used ProMedia 2.1s are readily available on eBay for less than $100.  New can be had for ~$150.

 

That said,  if bored, I would be curious to open one up to see if some inexpensive SURE class-D chip amp from Parts Express could be used. Unless the thrill of the DIY repair floats your boat, your time ought to be worth more than the cost of replacing the whole system.
