Does the BKRW mean they were originally "raw Walnut"?  That doesn't look like a factory stain job.

Good question, one I was wondering myself while adding this confirmed sale to the Heritage Prices spreadsheet.  You are right that does not look like a factory stain job, there is a lot of drip overrun on the back.

I checked the usual Klipsch Heritage CODES document for this and there is something designated WS.  There isn't anything documented WR but that is clearly what is on the label and the finish does look like a walnut stain.

"WS Birch (stained) Stain Walnut on Birch"

I'll add a note to the document "WR" and await further light.

All original I believe

Welcome to the forum. I really like the speakers that your dad chose, so much so that I have a pair of Belle myself. Hope that you understand some of our statements, the Belle that you have are a bit unique. As far as them not looking factory stained: You might get a small amount of Walnut stain and, carefully, stain the edges where some of the other stain has ran... but NOT the whole back sides.

Can you provide more pictures, please? The tops and sides??

Thanks,
James
