tpkjr
Serial numbers 4W356 and 4W357. $2,000. All original I believe. They were my Dad's but I just don't have room for them unfortunately.

Tony T
I wonder, what does the RB stand for that is stamped upon the wood vertical surface? Anyone?

avguytx
Oh dang...nice. Does the BKRW mean they were originally "raw Walnut"? That doesn't look like a factory stain job. Beautiful speakers! GLWS!

That doesn't look like a factory stain job. Good question, one I was wondering myself while adding this confirmed sale to the Heritage Prices spreadsheet. You are right that does not look like a factory stain job, there is a lot of drip overrun on the back. I checked the usual Klipsch Heritage CODES document for this and there is something designated WS. There isn't anything documented WR but that is clearly what is on the label and the finish does look like a walnut stain. "WS Birch (stained) Stain Walnut on Birch" I'll add a note to the document "WR" and await further light.

PrestonTom
Well, they are walnut and the stain was applied by the owner. Safe guess is "Walnut Raw" as stated above.

I really like the speakers that your dad chose, so much so that I have a pair of Belle myself. Hope that you understand some of our statements, the Belle that you have are a bit unique. As far as them not looking factory stained: You might get a small amount of Walnut stain and, carefully, stain the edges where some of the other stain has ran... but NOT the whole back sides. Can you provide more pictures, please? The tops and sides?? Thanks, James GLWS
jimjimbo
Unless you are in a big hurry to sell them, would recommend you raise the price to at least $2500, perhaps even $2750. I would say that the current market dictates those prices. PM me if you have any further questions. @tpkjr

Skelt
@wuzzzergot it right. Its part of the quality assurance process at the klipsch factory. RB is the initials of the cabinet builder.
Woofers and Tweeters
Well, I wonder how often the WR were made for owners to finish and about the stamping. Maybe @HDBRbuilder was there at the time.
