Bosco-d-gama
Long ago a friend and I were cruising around Lake Forest in Orange County California. We we’re hanging out in a new housing development near where he lived and a site security guard stopped to see what we were up to. He was a nice portly older man and we got to talking. Then he told us that he was Dawn Wells father. We sort of didn’t believe him until he pulled out his wallet and showed us pictures of her as a child, a teenager and as an adult. Still we wondered why he was working night shift as a rent-a-cop. But that was his story and he was sticking by it. She always seemed much more genuine than most hollyweird sorts. Oddly I’d actually met Bob Denver when I was a kid. He did a greet-n-meet at our elementary school as Maynard G. Krebs his character on the Dobbie Gillis sitcom. Somewhere in the family archives there’s a picture of me shaking his hand.

thebes
Sadly Ginger won the Covid contest. Had a friend, she opened a restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia. Opening night, her friend, you guessed it, was there to greet the patrons.
