DizRotus
The sax player for Bob Seger’s Silver Bullet Band has succumbed to colon cancer. You shouldn’t be surprised that “Alto Reed” was not the birth name of Thomas Neal Cartmell. Alto also played tenor and baritone. 2
Ceptorman
RIP I remember going to a Kiss concert around 1976 (13 years old) and Bob Seger was the warm up band. I was amazed when the sax player started floating across this arena and swing back and forth while playing. I also remembered liking Bob's music better than Kiss'. 3
billybob
Rest In Peace It was a good concert. One of Bob's main men. Oh and, the double live lp of course also. Most listened to recording at party time events. Or dang close. Edited December 31, 2020 by billybob
kevinmi
Sorry to hear this. As a teen growing up in the Greater Detroit area in the 60's and 70's, there was plenty of opportunities to see Bob and the band play. Always enjoyed Alto's sax playing.
