DTKoolaid
So I finally got my 2nd subwoofer and when I ran the Audyssey Setup it put the subs at -12db and saying that they are 26 feet away. I ran it again changing the gain from 50% to 45% and got the same results. I do have the crossover set at max. Also I don't see anyway to specify 1 sub or 2 subs in the setup so I'm assuming there isn't any. Any suggestions? I'm running a Klipsch R-120 and R-12 if that matters. Thanks! wuzzzer
What receiver are you using? Does your receiver send a signal to each sub separately? Does it have dual sub outputs or are you using a y splitter? If I remember correctly, for dual subs, only have one of them on for Audyssey setup if you can't specify dual subs in your receiver or if you're using a y splitter. Run Audyssey, then turn off the first sub, turn on the second sub and rerun Audyssey. Then turn both on, listen to some music/movies and see how it sounds. You can always manually adjust everything to your liking. I do remember reading that Audyssey is often way off on subwoofer distance measurements but I don't recall why. Having two non-identical subwoofers is part of the issues you're having, too.
