Looking for a Dac that will be smooth and hopefully give increased separation of instruments when the complexity of music increases. Currently using Benchmark dac3. I'm sure you won't go wrong with a denafrips. The Metrum is a good choice too. I brought one in to compare to my MHDT Pagoda but ended up preferring mine by a small margin. Keep in mind that my Pagoda was heavily modified by the original owner. I have no desire to shop dacs for the foreseeable future. Shakey Yeah, ive heard of los of people upgrading caps and resistors in Pagoda and Orchid for better analogue output stage.
