No Klipsch logo on the front, and no "klipsch" painted on in white...why? because the logo can't be applied in its normal position, nor can it be painted on in its normal position, due to the round-over of the tweeter and mid-horn lens openings...plus if you look very closely at the "peak of the roof" of the doghouse section...notice the slight discoloration either side of it??😉 Andy , TX for chiming in --- All the Best - -- the advances made by the Hope Arkansas Plant between the late seventies LSI , and the late 80's LSI , were impressive , in the span of only 10 years the build quality of the industrial LSI had resulted in a sturdier cabinet for the Commercial clients of Klipsch - -I own 2 pairs of LSI among other klipsch Heritage Speakers - you may have built quite a few of these speakers - a)-1 pair of late 70's -square corners -AA-K55V-k-400-K77 round magnet - K43-- -the differences with a regular LS are the klipsch handles on the sides of the top hat and the K43 --everything else is identical --Flat black paint - b)-late 80's LSI ----same as the one in this thread --k77 square magnet -AL-K55M-k401--K43 -and there were a lot of newer changes that distinguished the Consumer LS and the industrial LSI : 1) the dog house has a metal angle covering the front of the V of the dog house - 2) the klipsch badge was bigger /metal /painted klipsch black/white logo , and 2 black screws - 3) the corners of the cabinet are rounded -including the tweeter/mids openings , and so are the side panels - 3) the plywood is thicker -sturdier , I can bang on the center of the side panels , no vibrations at all versus the late 70's square LSI that do vibrate and require 2 braces - 4) the top hat is sealed , a panel covers the rear to close off the opening -the k-401 replaces the k-400- 5)- the rear top hat panel adds an Aluminium terminal cup with a fuse holder , the serial number is on a tag , the cup is wired into the barrier strip , and the cup is routed into the panel , one can see the Plys of the wood in the routed area that clears the K55M driver from touching the rear panel - 6) The cabinet is covered with textured paint -
