I took out the aluminum looking wire, and redid them with monster cable!! More clarity, more efficient than before! This is an easy thing to do, i would consider it! I have redone KG4s KG5.5s, my freinds KG4s, and my cornwalls!! They all seen to have that real thin wiring in them, all the same!! Carefull on the KG series, the tweets will melt if you have the solder gun on the contacts to long!! I also wonder if anyone else has had a problem with the KG 5.5 cabinets falling apart? I had to drive screws through mine, too keep them together!! Thats another reason why i now own 2 pair of cornwalls, i had 2 pair of KG5.5s!!
