BTW, in no particular order I enjoy jazz, classical, folk, bluegrass, americana, country, reggae, rockasaurus, and just about everything else this side of hip hop. GriffinFL
Anything with big soundscapes. Lately I've been spinning Dave Gilmour live at Pompeii 2016 a lot. But I love some Devin Townsend, particularly live performances. Early Dream Theater, before they started self-producing. Also, whoever said men can't sing anymore is full of it. Not looking hard enough, man.

Bobby Z
My preference tends to be harder progressive/symphonic rock. Kamelot, One Cold Winters Night (live in Oslo), is one of my favorite CDs. Though I'll listen to any well recorded music from Mozart to Metallica depending on my mood that day. To me good music is about the artist making an emotional connection to the listener irregardless of the genre. My ex played classical piano in school and she turned me on to classical and orchestral music. My youngest son played in a death metal band for a while and he's gotten me into some of the newer heavy metal stuff. I graduated high school in '75 so of course I'm a fan of a lot of music from that era. Rock, blues, soul, country, jazz, classical, pop, I enjoy checking out any "new to me" music. Unfortunately the one problem with Klipsch speakers is that if the the music is poorly recorded, you will hear it, and it makes it hard for me to listen to some of it. Experiment, then listen to what you enjoy. To hell with what anyone else thinks!!

Panelhead
My listening varies over time. Recently it is all classical. Love the dynamics and power. Think the LS II are better at playback of classical than any speaker I have owned.
Bubo
I like lots of things that are: clear, well recorded and mastered, full sounding, sound like they are going somewhere, postitive-hopefull-romantic-true to the human nature-harmony, technical excellence by the musician-s etc I have discovered a number of things I like on our Listening now thread Things I don't like are Music that is angry, negative, going nowhere, poorly recorded-played or mastered, repetitive, loser mentality Was checking out McIntosh's website and tripped over their HD Radio Station Lots of interesting pics, many new to me. The paintings, Childhood, Youth, Manhood, and Old Age, depict a voyager who travels in a boat on a river through the mid-19th-century American wilderness. In each painting the voyager rides the boat on the River of Life accompanied by a guardian angel. D Jenson
I search out and listen to any genre. I am looking for a good melody, memorable hook, good rhythm and good beat. Give me those with a quality recording of the music piece and I will almost always enjoy it. I look for accoustic music more often than not. It appears easier to get a quality recording with acoustic instruments. I've started paying attention to singers presentation lately. I've heard much distortion on recordings because a singer isn't careful with the delivery of dynamic sections of a music piece. Nothing a recording engineer can do about a singer over saturating a mic. I stay away from singers where I have heard vocal distortion due to their bad technique, any genre. I was never a jazz fan but I have bought more jazz the last 20 years because of the many high quality.
