Understanding Amp Specs

I picked up a Wharfedale Pro MP1200 amplifier awhile back.  I heard it demoed and that's it, its been sitting in its box ever since.  The specs look impressive, but the frequency response confuses me.  I am trying to figure out if it could be used to drive a subwoofer and get below 20 hz or not.  It supposedly does 20Hz-20kHz at +/-1db, but does 5Hz-50kHz at +/-3db.  Does this mean its an option what tolerance you want?  See full specs below.  Thanks for your help.

I understand it that the amp produces +/- 1db at the 20-20k range, but  +/- 3db at the 5-50k range.  Meaning the amp has the ability to produce 5-50k frequency range, but not as well as the 20-20k frequency range.  I don't see why it wouldn't run your sub below 20 hz, just not as loud as above.  That being said, how low does your sub go?  Would bridging help out?

Here's an example of the Behringer NX6000 everyone uses.  Outside of the power, it appears your amp has a little better control/specs.  Looking at these, I would say you are good to go.

just trying to plan something for the future.  looking at an 18" driver from parts-express for my father's setup.  I have an older Definitive Technology Powerfield 18 that we were thinking about switching out the driver in it and powering it with this amp,
